Casey Wylie of the Mid America Science Museum in Hot Springs

Casey is currently the secretary for the West Central Chapter and the State AVCA Board

My name is LaJean Burnett and I was Volunteer Coordinator of the Year -06. I’d like to recommend Casey Wylie as a featured member of AVCA. Casey is one of the youngest Volunteer Coordinators that I have seen in AVCA and has been very active in the West Central Arkansas Chapter. One thing that stands out about Casey is that as youth she volunteered at Mid America Science Museum and continued volunteering in college. When the opportunity came available for her to apply as volunteer coordinator she was the best choice for the position. Some of the challenges as Volunteer Coordinator were compounded for her in that not only were the majority of the volunteer base seniors they were seniors that were on the average three times her age. I’m proud to say that she met these challenges head-on and not only won the confidence of the already in place volunteers, but worked diligently to create a more diverse group of volunteers.
