  About AVCA

AVCA was founded in 1974 through the efforts of the Arkansas Office of Volunteer Services (now the DHS Division of Volunteerism). AVCA provides members the opportunity to grow professionally, network and share resources.

AVCA is a statewide organization with local chapters. Each chapter holds regular meetings, as well as other events. The statewide Executive Board is made up of members from each chapter.

Annually, AVCA co-sponsors the Summit Conference on volunteerism, philanthropy and nonprofits.  In addition, AVCA awards scholarships to participants in the Certified Volunteer Manager (CVM) Program and presents awards to the Volunteer Coordinator of the Year and Boss of the Year at the annual Summit Conference.
